For this project, we were tasked with creating a digital graphic representation of a song of our choice using only typography—no images allowed. We had approximately six hours to choose a song, design the graphic, and incorporate the full lyrics somewhere in the piece. While many classmates focused on abstract visualizations of how the music made them feel, I took a more literal approach. I chose a Kanye West song and recreated the album’s cover art using only typographic elements.
Throughout the design, I integrated key quotes from the song to highlight its themes and tone. Finally, I included the full lyrics at the bottom of the piece, allowing viewers to not only visually engage with the graphic but also read and connect with the song’s message.
