For conceptual or illustrative art: For this project, I created a digital poster inspired by Brent Faiyaz using the brutalist design style. I worked in Photoshop, gathering visual elements like photos, quotes, and references from his albums, interviews, and overall aesthetic.
My goal was to capture the raw, unpolished feel of both his music and brutalist design. I used grainy anti-style designs, distorted grids, gritty textures, and type-focused layouts to build a chaotic but intentional composition. Every element, from butterflies to rough text blocks, was chosen to reflect the emotional tone of his work. The result is a layered visual that feels just as vulnerable and defiant as Brent’s music.
